Fred Wang

Fred joined Adams Street’s Growth Equity Team in 2017 and focuses primarily on growth investments in Cloud Infrastructure and Enterprise Software.

Prior to joining Adams Street, he was a General Partner and a Managing Partner at Trinity Ventures, where he was responsible for venture investments, firm leadership and management, fundraising, and limited partner relationships for 18 years. Previously, Fred was a Partner with Spectrum Equity Investors, where he sourced and led investments for three technology-focused funds. He also held management positions with Mindscape Inc. and The Boston Consulting Group. He began his career at Intuit, serving as the firm’s third engineer and first product manager during its early stages of growth.

Fred is a member of Adams Street’s Growth Equity Investment Committee.

Fred led the Growth Equity Team’s investments in Alation, Arctic Wolf Networks, Axonius, Callisto Media, Cofense (fka PhishMe), Iterable, Orca Security, PerimeterX (acquired by Human) and ThreatQuotient.

PAST INVESTMENTS
Past Adams Street investments include Couchbase (BASE) and Lever (acquired by Employ). Other investments include Aruba Networks* (ARUN), Aryaka Networks*, ClearLeap* (acquired by IBM), Digital Shadows*, Harvest.ai* (acquired by AMZN), Infoblox* (BLOX), and Speedera Networks* (acquired by AKAM).
